All the details your guests will admire when they join you on your wedding day are the result of thorough planning. 
We believe at CAKE STUDIO that the wedding cake is no exception. It would be our great pleasure and honor to conceive, create and construct your one-of-a-kind wedding cake.
Here are some tips to make your wedding cake process an easy one.

Q. Do you offer tastings? 
A. Yes, CAKE STUDIO offers a complimentary tasting and consultation for you and a guest. 

Q. Is there a charge for the consultation? How long can we expect to be at CAKE STUDIO?
A. There is no fee for tastings. An hour is set-aside for each client. Often, appointments are scheduled before and after yours so please plan to be on time so we have a full hour. Call CAKE STUDIO at 204-775-9378 for your appointment.

Q. What do I need to bring to our scheduled appointment?
A. It is helpful to have made venue, color and floral decisions prior to our meeting.  Bring along any elements from your wedding that may assist with inspiration such as pictures of your dress, venue, wedding invitations, color samples.

Q. What can I expect to pay for a CAKE STUDIO wedding cake? Do you have a price list?
A. There is a 500 dollar minimum for all wedding cake orders.
We do not have a general price list because each cake is one-of-a-kind. Most wedding cakes are priced per person, with each serving being 1" x 2" x 4"h. Standard cutting size is 1"x 2", and we allow a little extra for lost cuts due to interior structures. Pricing starts at $5 per serving for a plain iced fondant cake. Our pricing tends to average from $5.75-$10 per serving. Ultimately, the final price is based on the intricacy of design and the number of people being served. 

Q. How much do you charge for each sugarpaste flower?
A. We understand some bakeries in town have been charging per sugarpaste flower! As much as $50 per flower...yikes!
CAKE STUDIO does not price per sugarpaste flower. You can't buy them individually.
We wonder, what would other bakeries do if they accidentally broke a flower on your cake. Would they just leave the broken one...since you paid for "X amount" of sugarpaste flowers only. We always carry replacement flowers with us to your venue, 
in case of a floral mishap. We take great pride in our sugarpaste floral work....and our brides LOVE us for it!

Q. What is your delivery area? What do you charge for delivery?
A. CAKE STUDIO delivers within the Winnipeg and surrounding areas. Delivery is $50.00* for one trained assistant and myself to deliver your cake to the venue and includes set-up. *(Some restrictions may apply).

Q. Do I have to make a deposit to reserve my wedding date?  How much is it and can I get a refund?
A. Yes, you will need to make a 50 percent deposit to reserve the wedding date on our CAKE STUDIO calendar.  We will base your deposit on the total wedding cake amount. We ask that you are absolutely certain that you would like CAKE STUDIO to create your cake, as all deposits are non-refundable and date specific.

Q. How far in advance should I order my wedding cake from CAKE STUDIO?
A. We are often booked up many months ahead of time. Since everything we make is fresh and completely customized to each client, CAKE STUDIO only accepts up to a total of 2 wedding cakes per date. The sooner you reserve your place on our calendar the better. Reservations are taken on a first come first served basis. 
A general minimum of time needed would be 4-8 months. We definitely attempt to accommodate last minute requests if our schedule allows.

Q. I am not ready to make wedding cake design decisions yet. But, I want to reserve our date so you don’t get booked up, is that possible?
A. Yes. You may reserve your date with CAKE STUDIO with a $350 deposit. 

Q. How is payment made to CAKE STUDIO?
A. We accept cheques or cash as payment. There is a $50.00 NSF fee for any returned cheques. 

Q. Does CAKE STUDIO provide customary cakes, such as Croquembouche? 
A. Absolutely... CAKE STUDIO has even combined a Croquembouche and wedding cake tier for a dazzling creation.

Q. What was the most unique wedding cake that you have worked on?
A. Made Winnipeg's first wedding cake created from Bothwell Cheddar Cheese...that's thinking outside of the cakebox! So, if you are ever at the James A Richardson International Airport...check out the new Bothwell cheese outlet.....the picture of myself and the cheddar cheese cake is on the wall!

Q. Do you have a catalog or brochure?
A. We do not have a brochure other than our website. Each CAKE STUDIO wedding cake is custom designed so our website serves mainly as a starting point. Please schedule your appointment, to view our show cakes first-hand.
